Sheffield are delighted to have been chosen by Special Olympics Great Britain to host the 10th National Games
It will be the largest sports event to take place in GB for people with an intellectual (learning) disability. They are a major undertaking involving many months of planning, organisation and fundraising. They involve the recruitment and training of a large number of volunteers and officials.
Competing at Elite Venues
These Games are for athletes with an intellectual (learning) disability who will have put in many months and even years of dedicated training for the event.
In Sheffield we will have a programme of competitions covering a wide range of individual and team sports. Athletes will have the opportunity to compete at sport venues across the city, including Ponds Forge, English Institute of Sport and Sheffield Hallam Football Centre.Download Schedule

Go for Gold with the Move More Special Olympics Challenge
To celebrate the Special Olympics in Sheffield, we are inviting everyone to take part in a unique activity challene.
This step-based competition will see you complete with friends and family and others from across the UK to see which county has the most active suporters.
